I just found out that a friend of mine suffered a major brain aneurysm 5 days ago. She is 42 years old...and was very healthy. She is now in the ICU and the outcome is dicey. Thankfully, she is conscious. She walked a bit today. But massive migraines keep her from doing much.
I am in a bit of shock right now.
I don't want to bring you down or make you feel bad. But rather use this as reminder of how very precious your life is.
Do something fun today. Be spontaneous. Eat something delicious and enjoy every single bite. Be grateful. Be like a butterfly and dance amongst the flowers and immerse yourself in sweet nectar. Live in the moment!
Is there something you really want to do but are putting off? What are you waiting for? Carpe Diem!
If you wish, say a prayer for Debbie...every prayer counts...
Love and Light to you today.

21 whimsical whispers:
Oh my friend, what a terrible news. Of cours my prayers are with the both of you. Sending some out from my heart to yours right now.
And I sure will to spontanious things today in the meantime I'll be thinking of you two.
Be well.
Thank you! Prayers are so powerful and I appreciate you saying a few :)
I wish your friend the strength and courage to fight her illness .my prayers are for her recovery.

Sorry to hear about your friend's illness, sending her loving thoughts and wishing her speedy recovery.
And yes, Carpe Diem ... :)
My best wishes to her. But yes, I always try to take wisdom, from any sadness.
To bring ourselves down, does nothing for the person, or for us. Do appreciate life a bit more today. This now, is all we have.
And now I'm getting off line and going somewhere fun, with my husband.
Gentle hugs,
Aunt Alice
Sorry about your friend...wishing her all the best. You are right, we need to make the most of every moment.
I will dedicate this joyful day to your friend. May she find strength and healing energy to support her.
It's good to have reminders on what could happen and what you should appreciate. It's easy to forget...
Caroline, I am praying for your friend and as always your reminder comes right on time! Life is so very short, so I think we should all live as if there will be no tomorrow. Not recklessly, but joyfully. :)
My parents (divorced) both passed away 14 years ago (5 months apart) at young ages. My dad was 61 and my mom was 58. I take nothing for granted & savor each beautiful bright moment of life.
Prayers to your friend... I hope she erecovers.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and beautiful comments today...so heartfelt!
I am sending my prayers to Debbie.
prayers are sent her way and positive thoughts and support for family and friends. I was just fussing at myself last night for waiting on others. so I grabbed the phone and called a friend. we had a great breakfast this morning.
I will most definitely say a few prayers for Debbie. I was just musing today about how I'm not really living life to the fullest... for a variety of different reasons. There's no reason I shouldn't be right now, especially when you consider that unfortunate and UNFAIR things like this happen to people all the time. Your friend is in my thoughts, and I hope that this news does not weigh heavily on your heart for too long.
Saying prayers for Debbie and all of her family and friends. Believing and hoping for the very best. And thankful to you for reminding us to focus today on what really matters - cherishing and actually LIVING the life we're living. Sending you (and Debbie) many virtual hugs.
I’m so sorry to hear about your friend… so young… As you say, we never know what the next moment will hold… so, as you say, we must find beauty in the now. May prayers lift you and your friend and family to a place of healing. May you find strength in knowing that many prayers of Love, Healing and support are going up for you and Debbie and her family. I will keep you and Debbie and her family in my prayers. Love and Light and prayers, Nina P.
thanks for the reminder and I hope everything works out for your friend.
thanks for the reminder...the swift kick in the behind...as we all need that every now and then to wake us up and love who and what we are and embrace all that is around us.....
you friend is in my thoughts...
Caroline, I will pray for your friend. Thank you for these thoughtful reminders to all of us.
I hope you friend gets well soon. My best friends brother may die of cancer at 23 years old. A harsh reminder to live life to the fullest.
