Why I blog?

Someone recently asked me about why I blog and this was my answer:

"I blog to escape. I blog to create more beauty and love in a sometimes dark and scary world. I just want to add more happiness into the universe."

So today I send you all virtual positive energy and light. Today I wish to spread hope. I wish to bring you peace. I wish to inspire you as much as you inspire me. I wish you many blessings in your journey in life.

I am just an average person sitting here trying to make this world a better place to live...that is why I blog.

Thank you for sharing and adding beauty to the day. My sister's response to my blogging was, "You must have too much time on your hands", which I don't. I just enjoy it enough that I take time away from all the other things I don't enjoy so much. So the house isn't up to snuff...it won't fall down.

I wish those very same things for you; and I am very glad you blog! :)

Beautifully answered.

I've only recently found your blog but I saw from the first time I looked at it that it was full of sunshine. I hope knowing that your blogs brings joy to those who read it sends joy straight back to you.

I find comfort in knowing that there are people living average lives who have great talents blogging and inspiring others.
I think people who blog think more about the world and their place in it than those who don't blog.

I never understood the attraction to blogging until I tried it.

Your blog is a wonderful source of inspiration and light! Thanks, Caroline for all that you do for your bloggy friends:) I enjoy how blogging gives me a regular reason to write and share my creativity. I enjoy connecting with talented, thoughtful people from all over the world. I like how I can count on blogs to give me a smile, a giggle, a thought, a reflection and a new perspective. Blogging has brought me much joy!

The very first reason, and to me the most important, is because it is FUN! Secondly, it's a place where I can go and just write about my feelings...the good the bad and the ugly. It's somewhat therapeutic!

I love your photos, so beautiful!

Your blog was one of the first blogs I began to follow. Within a few days my 'blogs I follow' numbered into the 20's. I get so much energy from your blog and all the others.

I blog because it brings me joy. It helps my spirit shine and if I can share that light with just one other person it is worth it.

At first I blogged because my friend Zhen told me I should try it and I just never stopped. I enjoyed seeing what I could create, and what thoughts would appear. When people started commenting on what I wrote, it became addicting. Having validation in life is something I think we all strive for. Blogging has also introduced me to some amazing people I never would have met otherwise.

Lucky me that you blog and that I found you! Your blog is a ray of light.... I enjoy every visit!

Why do I blog? I enjoy connecting with creative, thought-provoking people and to people who just enjoy their little spot in the world and don't mind sharing their stories!

Hugs,

I started blogging because my sister had one. I kinda thought it would be a way to get out my 1,000 words a day that I have in me sometimes.

I have enjoyed being able to help other people who needed a lift in spirits or some parenting advice. It's a great way to connect with people.

I remember a distant friend telling that she blogs... I was not interested and thought it was a little funny. If you do not blog, you just do not understand the attraction.

When I find a new blogger, I try to get them involved with the rest of us by commenting on their site and giving them suggestions on which blogs to visit. Or, they usually quit writing which makes me sad. I want them to be a part of the community with us.

And... I blog for several other reasons. I guess I should stop now. It is almost as long as a post now.

so beautiful. what a great post to get us thinking honestly.

i blog for many of the same reasons. also to express myself when i can't elsewhere. to get out some creative energy. to inspire myself—not just others. to push myself farther. and just as an outlet for so many things. thoughts. ideas. hopes. also as an inlet to soak in the inspiration of others. to me, blogging is not just posting on my blog. it also encompasses reading other blogs and exchanging comments back and forth and therefore getting to know others more.

wow. i just realized i blog for a lot more than i realized. i know there are a lot of people out there who think blogging is just a way to seek attention or to be heard or that the relationships you make are not real. but i really believe that anyone who does not have a blog would not understand exactly what it offers to the bloggers and the readers.

who knows. but this is a very good post. i think we should ask ourselves this on a regular basis.

{and, just so you know . . . i'm glad you blog.}

Great question Caroline and a beautiful image to go with it.

I started blogging because my scrapblog friends blogged and had NO idea what I was going to write.

Now I blog to pass on what I am learning from philosophy and in turn I am obtaining so much knowledge from blogger like yourself.

I am learning about love, light, beauty, balance, adventure, discipline, desire, spirits....the list goes on and on.

BTW Caroline you are not an average person, you are so much more than average....you shine.

Hugs
Peggy
